SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES COMMISSIONER'S FALL ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

FRISCO, Texas - UT Arlington landed 23 student-athletes from its fall sports (volleyball and cross-country) on the 2008 Southland Conference Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll the league office announced Thursday. Overall, 553 student-athletes from 12 conference schools were recognized for their academic accomplishments.
Presented by CaptialOne Bank, the honor roll recognizes student-athletes who competed in league championship sports during the fall semester and maintained a 3.0 semester grade point average while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Each Southland institution is responsible in selecting the student-athletes for the fall roll.
Volleyball led the charge placing 14-of-15 members from this year's squad on the fall honor roll. Seniors Jody Broccoli-Hickey and Magan Moore lead nine members of the men and women's cross-country teams in representing the runners.
