COLLEGE STATION - - Texas A&M sophomore right-hander Clayton Ehlert and three Aggie relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as UT Arlington dropped a 12-0, non-conference decision Tuesday in College Station.

Mavericks catcher Mitch Putman went 2-for-4, but the rest of the UT Arlington squad went 2-for-29. Ehlert (2-1) picked up the win for going six innings and allowing just two hits. He struck out three and walked none.

UTA starter Marcus Limon (0-3), a freshman right-hander, was pulled in the fourth and took the loss. The bright spot for the Mavericks on the hill was Mark Picca, who tossed two scoreless innings while striking out two and walking just one.

UTA (6-13) returns to Southland Conference play at 6 p.m. Thursday against Texas State in San Marcos.
