2006: 1-0, 5.33 ERA, one save...appeared in 15 games, all out of the bullpen...been battling a sore arm late in the season...earned the save against Louisiana Tech after allowing one run on four hits in four innings...pitched 3.2 hitless innings against nationally-ranked Arkansas...allowed one hit and struck out five in three innings of work to earn his first win of the season against Nicholls State.
Prior to UTA: Came to UTA after redshirting last season at Oklahoma ...was a four-year starter and letterwinner at All Saints Episcopal...was a pitcher and shortstop...two-time all-conference selection...holds school record for wins, hits, RBIs and strikeouts..struck out 78 in 47 innings... hit .429 with two home runs and 11 doubles...garnered team MVP, Conference Player of the Year, all-S.P.C., all-S.P.C. Zone and all-North Zone honors as a senior...nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman in 2004...named as a "Player to Watch" by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram...went 8-1 on the mound with a 1.50 ERA as a junior...fanned 65 in 67.1 innings...hit a personal-best .444 with seven home runs, 56 RBIs and 30 runs scored...picked up team MVP, all-S.P.C., all-North Zone and all-state accolades as a junior...chosen as the 2003 private schools all-area Player of the Year by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram... also lettered three times in baseball and once in football...started at guard on the hardwood and helped lead his team to a S.P.C.
